Showdown in Boise

The TCU Horned Frogs went into Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho for a showdown with Mountain West Championship implications. After a great opening half for the Horned Frogs, the Broncos capitalized on some TCU turnovers. But when it looked like Boise was about to put the game out of reach, TCU recovered a fumble and would make a drive under 2:00 left in the 4th to score. Down by 1, Coach Patterson of the Horned Frogs chose to go for the 2 point conversion and succeeded. After a bizarre, sketchy drive for Kellen Moore and the Broncos, they were able to set up a game-winning field goal… only to have it swing wide right as time expired. Sound familiar? Final score: TCU 36, Boise 35.

With the win, TCU is on top of the Mountain West, and snaps the Bronco’s impressive home winning streak in the process.
